Questions

Siding questions, answered plainly.

About siding materials, timing, storms, repairs, HOAs and cost.

Getting started

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The visit and the estimate are free and come with no obligation. You approve a written scope and price before any work begins.

What areas do you serve?

Nashville and communities across Middle Tennessee, including Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet and more. See the service areas page for the full list.

Do you work for homeowners, builders and businesses?

All three. We work for homeowners, builders, HOAs, property managers, churches, schools, real estate agents and commercial owners.

What kinds of work do you do?

Siding installation in every common material, siding repair and replacement, storm damage work, trim, soffit and gutters, commercial and specialty siding, care and planning help.

Materials

Which siding is best for Nashville weather?

It depends on your priorities. Fiber cement and heavy steel resist hail well, vinyl is economical and low maintenance and cedar is beautiful with more upkeep. Our material guides and quiz help you compare.

Is vinyl siding any good?

Quality vinyl, installed so it can expand and contract, is a durable and economical choice. Thicker and insulated vinyl perform better against dents and waves.

Can I mix siding materials?

Yes. Mixing lap with board and batten, shake or stone adds character, and it lets you spend on the walls that show most.

Storms and repairs

How do I know if hail damaged my siding?

Look for dents, cracks, chips and spatter marks, and check every wall. A professional inspection finds damage that is hard to see from the ground.

Can you help with an insurance claim?

We inspect, photograph and write a clear scope that supports your claim. You file with your insurer, and your policy and adjuster decide what is covered.

Can you repair just a few panels?

Often yes. If the wall behind is sound and a match is available, a repair is a smart choice. We explain when a larger fix makes more sense.

The work itself

How long does a siding project take?

Many houses take one to three weeks depending on size, material, weather and repairs. We give a schedule in the written scope.

Do you remove the old siding?

Usually yes, so we can inspect and repair the wall and install a proper weather barrier and flashing. Covering over old siding hides problems.

Do I need to be home?

No, though a walk-through at the start and at the end is helpful. We protect your landscaping and clean up each day.

HOAs, permits and cost

Does my HOA need to approve new siding?

Often, especially for color and material changes. We help prepare samples and submittals, and we encourage you to confirm the rules with your board.

How do I compare quotes?

Compare written scopes: wall area, removal, wrap, flashing, material, trim, cleanup and what happens if rot is found. Our cost guide explains what drives the price.

Do you handle commercial and multifamily properties?

Yes. We plan phased work around business hours, resident needs and board budgets.
