Before the start
You will confirm materials, colors and the start date, and we will plan access for trucks, dumpsters and scaffolding. Move cars out of the driveway, take down wall decorations and clear items from walls and patios.
Tell us about pets, children and any sensitive schedules so we can plan around them.
Day one: protection and tear-off
The crew covers plants and sets up tarps and debris catchers. Old siding and trim come off in sections so walls are never exposed longer than needed.
Expect noise and activity. The yard will look busy, but we clean up at the end of each day.
Repairs and wrap
With the walls open, we check sheathing, repair damage and install house wrap and flashing. We photograph the wall at this stage.
If we find rot or damage, we show you and review the repair before going on.
Siding goes up
Siding is installed in order, starting at the bottom and working up, with corners, trim and accessories added as we go. This is where the house changes fast.
Cutting and nailing make noise, but the work moves quickly once the barrier is done.
Details and trim
Window and door trim, soffit and fascia, gable details, vents and light fixtures get finished. Caulk goes in the right places and paint is touched up.
These last details make the house look complete.
Cleanup and walk-through
We sweep the yard with magnets, remove tools and debris and walk the house with you. We show you the finished work, answer questions and give care instructions.
You approve the work before it is considered complete.
Clear the walls, protect what you value and keep in touch. We handle the rest and show you each step.
