Waves, ripples and panels that look like they are melting: we find the cause and repair or replace the affected areas.
Wavy, rippled or buckled siding is one of the most common reasons homeowners call. Vinyl is designed to expand and contract with the temperature, and when it is nailed tight, boxed in by trim or blocked by something nearby it has nowhere to go and bends. Heat reflected from a window, a grill or a neighbor window can also soften and distort a panel. Wood and fiber cement can warp too, usually from moisture.
The right repair depends on why it happened. If the panels were nailed too tight, we can often loosen the fasteners and refasten them correctly. If the vinyl melted from reflected heat, we replace the damaged panels and help correct the source, with window films, spacing or a change of material near the glass. If a wall has warped from moisture, we find and fix the leak and replace the affected boards. Either way, you will understand the cause before we start.
Tight nailing, trim that boxes in panels, reflected heat and moisture all warp siding in different ways.
When panels are intact we loosen and refasten them so they can move again as temperatures change.
Melted, creased and permanently distorted pieces are replaced with matching panels.
Reflected heat, leaks and trim problems are addressed so the damage does not return.

Most often because it was fastened too tightly or boxed in by trim. Heat from nearby windows can also distort panels.
If the panels are only pinched by fasteners, refastening often relaxes them. Permanent distortion needs replacement.
Yes. Low-e windows can reflect heat onto siding and distort vinyl. Replacement and mitigation can help.
It is stiffer and resists waves better, though installation and heat sources still matter.
